"Support got me back in quickly"
I couldn’t get logged in and was starting to get a little annoyed, but support replied fast and walked me through what to do. it was easier than I expected, and quicker than... well, most support stuff I’ve dealt with. Painless overall, thanks.

"Reading the news shouldn’t be this annoying"
I mainly pay for jsonline.com so I can keep up with local news, the digital access is hit or miss.
Some days it keeps logging me out, or I click an article and it tells me I need to subscribe even though I’m already paying. The app and the website also don’t always seem to be on the same page, which just makes a simple thing way harder than it needs to be.

When it works, it’s totally fine. But I shouldn’t have to keep troubleshooting just to read the news I already paid for. 2 stars.

"Delivery can be a little hit or miss"
Most days the paper shows up fine, but every now and then it’s either late or just not there at all, haha. Customer service has helped fix it a few times, which I appreciate, but I do wish the delivery was a bit more consistent.

"The alerts got on my nerves"
I do like keeping up with local news, especially when I’m in the mood to know what’s going on nearby, but the notifications were just way too much. A few were actually helpful, but a bunch felt random or like the same thing popping up again. After my phone kept buzzing all day, I finally turned most of them off because it was starting to make me cranky.

"Billing details could be clearer"
The site itself was fine to use, but I remember feeling a little caught off guard when I saw the charges later. The renewal price wasn’t explained clearly enough upfront, and that stuck with me because it made the whole experience feel less straightforward than I expected...

"Works okay, but it can get laggy"
I’m not trying to be overly negative because the news does load fine for me, but the app definitely gets slow on my phone sometimes. Every now and then it freezes or lags enough to be annoying, even though it mostly does what I need

"Login was smooth enough"
getting into my account was easy. The account page is fine overall, though the password reset took a little longer than I expected.

"Customer service was okay, but not great"
I reached out to customer service and ended up waiting longer than I expected to hear back. They did eventually help me and got things sorted, so I can’t say it was a bad experience. It just wasn’t very quick or anything that really stood out. Overall, it felt average, and I was a little frustrated by the wait because I was hoping to feel more taken care of...

"Headlines ain’t bad, just not always clear"
I check jsonline.com regularly, and the headlines are usually easy enough to understand. I can’t say they’re not helpful, because some of them definitely are. But every now and then they feel a little clicky or too vague, like I’m not not annoyed having to click just to figure out the point. It’s not terrible or anything, just wish they’d be more straight-up sometimes. Overall, it’s fine, but not something I’d call amazing.

"Refund was handled fast"
I had a billing issue with jsonline.com and asked for a refund. Umm, I wasn’t too sure how it was going to go at first.
They got back to me quickly and processed the refund without turning it into a big hassle. It took a few days to show up, but that seems normal. Overall, I’m happy with how they handled it.

"The offer was easy to follow"
I thought the promo details were really clear and simple to understand, which is kind of what you hope for with these things, right?

"Actually Good Local News, Unlike a Lot of the Rest"
I check jsonline.com most mornings for Milwaukee and Wisconsin news, it’s one of the few local sites that doesn’t feel like it’s just lazily copying whatever everyone else already posted. That’s what annoys me about so many news outlets now, they act like recycled headlines count as reporting, and they absolutely don’t.

The site can be a little heavy to load sometimes, which is frustrating and feels like something they should’ve fixed already, but the articles are still worth reading. I like the mix of local news, sports, and food coverage, and I keep coming back because the reporting actually feels useful. Easy 5 stars from me

"I still think it’s a good news site..."
I still think it’s a good news site, i use it regularly. That said, the price has definitely gone up, and it’s getting a little harder to justify. I’m not saying it isn’t worth paying for, because good journalism isn’t free, but I do wish it felt a bit more affordable.

"Paywall worked fine, I think"
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but the paywall worked fine for me. After I paid, the article was easy to read and I didn’t really run into any issues.

"Print paper is... okay, but not what it used to be"
I still get the print edition, and overall it’s... fine. I do like having the local stories in my hands, and most days there’s something useful to read. But the paper feels thinner than I remember, delivery is sometimes late, and the photos can look a little dull. It’s not bad exactly... just not quite as good as it used to be. If you still enjoy reading an actual newspaper, it’s okay

"Solid Packers and Brewers coverage compared to most"
I mostly use jsonline for sports, especially Packers and Brewers news, and it holds up well compared to a lot of other local sites. The Packers updates usually come in quickly, and the Brewers coverage is easy to follow without feeling too overdone. A few articles being locked is a little frustrating, but overall it’s one of the sites I still check a few times a week.

"Good for Milwaukee news, but I’m not totally sold on the price"
I’ll admit I’m probably a little biased because I do like keeping up with Milwaukee stuff, and jsonline.com is one of the easier places to find local news in one spot. Some of the articles are genuinely good, and I check it more than I expected. That said, for what the subscription costs, it doesn’t always feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. Some days there’s a lot to read, and other days I’m scrolling around thinking, “That’s it?” The ads can get irritating too, especially when I’m already paying. Overall, it’s decent, but I wish it felt like a stronger value

"Pretty easy to manage my account"
Managing my account was super easy. Everything was simple to figure out, which kind of makes you wonder why this isn’t always the case with other services.

I’ve been using the comment section and it works good for me. It’s easy to chat there and keep up with replies, no big issues so far
